TU: Celebrating Our Success

TU: Celebrating Our Success

The pursuit of happiness is often a long and arduous journey for some, while it may also be a shortcut for the select few. While it is a destination we all desire, it is the journey and process which we should revel in

Workshop Synopsis
At the Olympics 100 metres sprint finals, after the Gold medal winner, who is the next happiest person? Is it the Silver medal winner or the Bronze medal winner?
According to a research conducted in 1995, it is the Bronze medalist winner who is usually happier. The Silver medalist winner is more concerned about the lost of opportunity to win gold and is therefore unhappy. Whereas, the bronze medalist’s focus is on the fact that he is at least on medals podium as against the person who came fourth and is thus happier. Thus your happiness is largely dependent on the way you look at the events and things.
Happiness is a state of being, an emotional excitement and joy characterized by contentment, pleasure or satisfaction. The greatest emotion that can create happiness is the feeling of love. We will be using personal anecdotes and real life cases to examine what makes one happy. We will also discuss the happiness index and how happy Singapore is compared to the rest of the World. Through using positive emotions and building stronger relationships, participants will also chart their path towards happiness.
Through fun, high-impact activities and inspirational experiences that AKLTG is renowned for, participants will work towards clarity of team successes and celebrate the accomplishments.
