TU: Crime Scene Investigations

TU: Crime Scene Investigations

Roll up your sleeves and get into the action of solving a crime through our crime scene simulations to help develop a more inquiring mind and horn critical thinking skills

Workshop Synopsis
Inquiry-based learning is a constructivist approach, where learners have absolute ownership and take charge of their own learning. Using the analogy and training methodology of experiential learning, we will set up an elaborate crime scene early on before the workshop. When participants first enter the training room, they will be presented with the crime scene, and they will have to adopt an inquisitive mind in order to solve the mystery. We will plant evidences, clues and also witnesses around the area to inject realism into the simulation.
Participants will benefit from having an inquiring mind, as it involves them with exploration of the matter, which leads them to question everything. All these will lead to investigation into a worthy issue, problem or idea. Through inquisitive thinking skills, which involves formulating the right questions, asking questions and following up on the questions, learners will gather, analyze and construct hypothesis and go on to test them. They will then make decisions, justify conclusions and take action on it, which enhances the adoption of an inquisitive mindset and develops their critical thinking skills.
Through fun, high-impact activities and inspirational experiences that AKLTG is renowned for, participants will work towards clarity of an inquiring mind, steps to adopting an inquisitive mindset through asking questions and a culture for critical thinking.
