TU: Nomadic Race

Things never stay the same in a nomad’s world. Experience powerful lessons in team collaboration, cultural awareness and flexibility as you traverse our sunny island and race to the finish line as a team!

Workshop Synopsis
The Nomadic Race is a journey-based learning adventure that sets the participants as explorers on the journey of making a difference. Following in the footsteps of the famous nomads of times past, our participants will set forth on a similar nomadic mission. The only difference is that the 21st Century nomad will go about his journey in a totally different way. In a world of flattened playing fields, instantaneous information flows and ripples that transcend time-zones, our nomads can travel the world over just in a matter of seconds. Thus on this journey of a thousand miles and a thousand more bytes, participants will traverse the lands of Singapore discovering authentic experiences, opening up the minds for the world of possibilities, connecting the dots of the different reverberations rippling in the world and finding their own voice in a unique quest of making a difference. The traditional nomadic culture of stretching one’s limits and embracing the 5 nomadic competencies of leadership will still be an integral part of the programme as our participants seek to merge the timeless leadership principles with the challenge of surmounting the challenges of the 21st Century.
The participants will be framed up that they are given to fulfill the nomadic mission of the 21st Century just like how Alexander The Great, Genghis Khan and Amelia Earhart had fulfilled the nomadic journey of times past. While nomad remains a word and an identity, the mode of the journey has transformed with the times. For this journey, participants will be armed with digital media devices and a laptop in their effort to answer the challenges that are meted out to them. These challenges represent the challenges we all face in the 21st Century and some of them even represent real-world challenges faced by leaders worldwide. The test begins now as they begin these journey that will stretch them beyond their limits, open up their hearts and minds to a world of possibilities, make timely decisions against the run of time and realize that they are more resourceful that they give themselves credit for. After all, they said the skies the limit. But why make the sky the limit when there are footsteps on the moon?
